WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to edit their messages within 15 minutes of sending them.

To edit a message, you simply press and hold on the message and select the edit option. The edited message will be marked with an “edited” tag, but there won’t be a history of previous versions visible to other users.

Previously, users had to either delete a message or send a separate correction message. This feature brings WhatsApp in line with other messaging apps like Telegram and Signal that have had editing capabilities for some time. The feature is currently rolling out to users and will be available to everyone in a few weeks.
