Virgin’s Latest Product is a Breakfast Cereal…Okay?

Created in conjunction with the David Agency in Bogota, Virgin’s latest ad seems to be selling a… cereal?

Entitled ‘Good Vibes’ the cereal sees an attention-grabbing package design and is apparently available to Virgin fans for a limited-time offer as part of its “#LessDramaMoreVirgin” campaign.

The “#LessDramaMoreVirgin” campaign aims to highlight the straightforward simplicity of Virgin Mobile’s new service plans. Leaning into ease-of-use for consumers, these plans have no subscription, no contract and no paperwork, making them as hassle-free as a cell phone plan can get.

“This cereal is created out of our understanding that many cell phone companies are responsible for ruining people’s days. At Virgin Mobile, we do not like drama; we prefer Good Vibes,” Modesto Moraleda, Virgin’s LATAM brand marketing manager, said in a statement.

The platform features a spot in which the brightly-colored hoops and loops burst from the box, overflowing bowls and spilling across tables as a catchy beat plays over the action. Actors grab boxes and pour the cereal straight into their mouths as bowl after bowl is served up. All the while, captions explain how starting your morning with Good Vibes can help fans set the tone for a drama-free day.

This limited-edition HACCP certified cereal was produced in partnership with Trading Foods, a Colombian breakfast and snack food company. It’s available to all Virgin Mobile users simply by going to the brand’s website and purchasing any of the available SIM cards.
