Twitter has introduced a new API tier called Twitter API Pro for startups, which costs $5,000 per month.

This tier allows developers to access and post a larger number of tweets each month and grants them access to the full archive search endpoint. The new tier is positioned between the basic tier, which costs $100 per month, and the enterprise tier, which costs $42,000 per month.

While it caters to startups scaling their business, some argue that it is still expensive for those on tight budgets. Twitter has not yet provided a solution for researchers and academics, despite previously mentioning plans to do so. Elon Musk, has stated that the company is on a comeback path after implementing cost-cutting measures.
