Following in the footsteps of Snoop Dogg and Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera and rapper Latto are the new faces (and voices) of Just Eat’s latest campaign from McCann. The latest catchy jingle by the duo merges hip-hop and opera as Aguilera and Latto glide down the stairs of a grand entrance hall.

Moving through glamorous locations, the pair are steered along a river on a gondola and sit down to eat from a sushi train in their ball gowns. Returning to the entrance hall, the pair finish on the now iconic refrain “Did somebody say Just Eat?” as a chandelier crashes to the floor behind them.

The ad was directed by Dave Meyers once more, following his collaboration with Katy Perry last year, and written by Latto, Aguilera and the team responsible for Snoop Dogg and Perry’s anthems.

In the run-up to the shoot, McCann London’s managing director Tommy Smith told Campaign that they had to deal with “two talents, two armies of glam squads and two sets of lawyers.”

It was no easy feat and Smith called it a “credit to the partnership”. The only challenge that remains is if people see it as a good follow-up to Perry and Snoop Dogg. Perry’s remix went viral on TikTok and gave the brand organic social reach.

Following its UK and Ireland launch, the campaign will be rolled out in Europe, Canada, and Australia. The campaign will span video, out of home, cinema, social and radio, including bespoke content created by Dept, which led on digital. UM has done the media planning and buying with the ad debuting on Friday 13 October during Channel 4’s Gogglebox.
