Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has stated that there were many employees at the company who were not contributing much value. He believes that this is a common issue in Silicon Valley companies, although it was particularly noticeable at Twitter.
Musk mentioned that some tech companies have hired too many people for unnecessary jobs as a way to boost their image. After taking control of Twitter, Musk reduced the workforce to around 1,500 employees, although reports suggest that the number may be closer to 1,000. He has been cutting costs and making changes to save the company.
However, Musk now says that Twitter will start hiring again as they move towards becoming cash-flow positive. He aims to hire back some of the employees he laid off initially.
