Growing your presence online and connecting with other passionate creatives has never been more important for a creative. We wanted to show you how you can do this using online workshops and masterclasses.

If you’re a creative who has some actionable advice, inspiring insights, and expert knowledge in the freelancing industry, online events are definitely something you should be thinking of going into. And we would love to help you with this.

Below we’ve answered some questions you may have about webinars and if they are something that suits you well!

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗶𝘃𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘂𝘀?
If you’re an industry expert in your creative field pivoting into online masterclasses, webinars, and workshops for the time of isolation is definitely something that would be important to try out. Firstly think about what could your topics “selling point” be. If you’re a portrait photographer maybe your expert retouching skills would be something that other photographers or starting out creatives would benefit from.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁?
This is probably the most difficult question for any creative or even an event manager. You should definitely try out different approaches and see what works best for your audience. Offering a variety of custom offers is something that works pretty effectively. Always set out the minimum and an average number of attendees and see what would make you feel good about the price. You can test this out by using Instagram Polls or researching what other creatives charge. Having add-ons such as 1-on-1 session or something more personal.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘁?
Usually pushing it out on social media works pretty well. Use Eventbrite for tickets as it helps push out the event to other audiences. Link your event to Facebook events for further reach. Use an excel sheet for the most basic management. If you use Eventbrite and Facebook events these platforms provide you with sheets that you can keep and use.

Having another revenue stream and your freelance business activities is great. There has been a paradigm shift in behaviors, especially in emotional acceptance of virtual video conferencing. This has opened a door for our new service. For example, being a creative who spends most time doing photoshoots, opening another service is something that will benefit you in the long run.
