Bioré Skincare recently apologized for featuring a TikTok influencer in their ad who mentioned a school shooting she survived. The influencer, Cecilee Max-Brown, discussed her struggles with anxiety and referred to a recent school shooting in the ad. The video received backlash on social media for using a sensitive topic to sell skincare products. Max-Brown later took down the TikTok and issued an apology.

Bioré Skincare also posted an apology on Facebook, acknowledging their lack of sensitivity and inappropriate approach. They expressed regret for their actions and emphasized the importance of supporting mental health in a meaningful way.
