Artist Tatsuya Tanaka Creates Miniature Tokyo Olympics Games Scenes Using Face Masks

The postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games finally went ahead and opened on Friday 23rd July 2021. Despite the empty Olympic Games Buildings due to minimum public gathering, the audience still was able to celebrate the worldwide event at home. Japanese artist Tatsuya Tanaka has been making incredibly creative scenes using household objects and tiny figures for almost a decade. It just makes sense for the artist to create a series showcasing Olympic sports themed work.

The artist used medical face masks to showcase the different surfaces and sporting equipment you’d find at the Olympic Games.

Check out Tanaka’s Olympics Games themed miniature art below.
