A Book Made Out of Gifs? Giphy Is Creating a New Space of Graphics Beyond the Online

When we found out that Giphy is releasing an offline aka physical book of gifs we couldn’t believe it. Well the Frame By Frame book is real and you can get one for yourself, but be quick as there are only 750 copies. The book brings the magic of animation to the static page. Inside the book, you can see the gif art of 35 international artists.

You’re probably wondering how a gif works offline in a physical book. It uses something called lenticular holograms (a technology that is also used for 3D displays, are used to produce printed images with an illusion of depth, or the ability to change or move as the image is viewed from different angles).

Check out some of the gifs that are presented in the book:

The book is available in a limited edition on the website dedicated to the project, or you can browse it in digital edition.
